Bet on leggy Jelena Jankovic in Montreal

I've always had a soft spot for Jelena Jankovic - whether she's doing the splits or not. So looking at the market on Betfair for the outright winner, she looks great value at a current 7.8.

Quite what the fuss is these days about Maria Sharapova (apart from the obvious, non-tennis playing aspect), I will never know. Ana Ivanovic has at least won something of late, despite her dip in form - but the two are far too short to represent any value at a tournament that will have relatively little meaning. And without the Williams sisters, only Dinara Safina and Svetlana Kuznetsova represent much of a challenge.

This leaves the way clear for Jelena Jankovic, who is out to avenge her recent defeat to Safina, a defeat that denied her the number 1 spot in the World Rankings. It's the perfect warm-up for the Olympics, and the perfect stage for Jankovic to try out her skills - and that isn't just doing the splits.
