How many times will Barack Obama say change? And will McCain mention Bush?

How many times will Barack Obama say the word 'change' tonight in the Presidential debate? We're saying more than 16 but less than 20 - and that'll get you 4/1 with Paddy Power bookmakers.

Does anyone else wish this would go on a bit longer? After all, it's a great distraction from the doom and gloom of the recession and the housing crash. Sarah Palin has amused us all by being a complete bimbo at heart. Barack Obama has stretched so far out into the lead in the opinion polls that some bookmakers have stopped taking bets on him... and John McCain - well, don't they wish they'd gone for Huckabee - just for the laughs? What a waste of space.

So the final debate takes place tonight and the main question is - just how nasty is McCain going to be? I reckon at some point he's just going to turn round and chin Obama in a vain attempt to win the Presidential election on a knock-out - or at the very least a technicality. He's going to bring up Bill Ayers, which is so childish it's like a middle-aged man chiding someone because when he went to school, he sat next to the boy who picks his nose and eats it. "Oooh, you were friends with him - nur nur nur nur nur."

So to make this debate interesting, let's stick some money on it. Obama to "win" it is 4/9 and that's not very tasty, because we know he'll win it - and that's according to CNN. How many times will McCain mention the word 'Bush' - and let's assume that he's not talking about Sarah Palin's, which is still probably way more coherent than the incumbent President.

Sorry, any ladies who may have read this far.

Not at all is 11-8 and that's tempting for a man who wants to distance himself as far away as he possibly can from the cowboy. Both men are 5/6 to elicit the first laughter from the audience, although I'd be tempted to go for McCain as Barack Obama is not exactly a laugh-a-minute man, and McCain is more likely to get some nervous laughter out of the audience.

So, if you're up for that - get on with Paddy Power and they'll double your first bet.
